Looking ahead

Wednesday and Thursday stay dry and a little warmer, with highs of 83 to 85. The weather service says humidity will improve in east Texas and southeast Oklahoma, but the fire threat lingers in south Arkansas and north Louisiana through mid to late week. A storm system should bring widespread rain Friday night into Saturday. Forecasters call it beneficial rain but say it won’t be enough to significantly improve the drought.
