DOTD Road Show hearings on state highway projects set for Monroe Oct. 27 and Bossier City Oct. 28

The Legislature's Joint Transportation, Highways and Public Works Committee is holding its yearly hearings, known as the DOTD Road Show, on the preliminary Highway Priority Program for fiscal year 2027-2028. That's the list of state road and bridge projects the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development plans to fund.

DOTD says each district holds its own hearing so legislators, local officials, DOTD staff and the public can talk about the projects and how they will affect each area. Anyone who comes will get a chance to speak.

Northeast Louisiana: Monroe, Tue., Oct. 27

• When: 2 p.m.
• Where: Monroe Civic Center, Miro-Madison Room, 401 Lea Joyner Memorial Expressway
• Parishes: East Carroll, Jackson, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Union and West Carroll

Northwest Louisiana: Bossier City, Wed., Oct. 28

• When: 8:30 a.m.
• Where: Bossier City Council Chambers, 620 Benton Road
• Parishes: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Red River and Webster

Natchitoches, Sabine and Winn

Those parishes are in DOTD District 08. Its hearing is Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 2:30 p.m. in the Council Meeting Room at Pineville City Hall, 910 Main St., according to DOTD.
