Quick take
- Early voting: Friday until 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The only early site in McCurtain County is the County Election Board, 104 N. Central Ave., Idabel.
- No excuse is needed. You fill out an in-person absentee application when you check in, and you must vote in the county where you are registered.
- On the ballot: State Questions 845 and 847, judicial retention questions and, for District 1 voters, the county commissioner race between Republican John Wayne Williams and independent Zeb Sims.
- Election Day is Tue., Nov. 3, with polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at your regular polling place, which may differ from the early voting site.
McCurtain County voters have two more chances to vote early before Tuesday’s general election. Early voting is open until 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the McCurtain County Election Board, 104 N. Central Ave. in Idabel. It is the only early voting site in the county, McCurtain County Local News reported.
You do not need a reason to vote early. The Oklahoma State Election Board says early voters fill out an in-person absentee application when they check in, and you can only vote in the county where you are registered. Because this is a general election, you can vote for any candidate on your ballot regardless of party.
