A traveling exhibition from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum is on display in Ruston. Louisiana Tech’s Prescott Memorial Library is one of 50 U.S. libraries chosen to host "Americans and the Holocaust," put together by the museum and the American Library Association, the university announced.

The 1,100 square foot exhibit looks at how the government, the military, refugee aid groups, the press and the public responded to Nazism and the persecution and murder of Jews in Europe in the 1930s and 1940s. The university says it challenges the common belief that Americans knew little and did nothing.

"We encourage community members to come explore it," library Executive Director Angela Dunnington said. The library is also hosting field trips for local schools.
