Plan extra time at one of Shreveport's busiest intersections next week. Starting Monday, Nov. 2, crews will close the inside lanes on both Youree Drive (LA 1) and East 70th Street (LA 511) at their intersection for up to three days, weather permitting, while crews install foundations in the median for the new signal mast arms, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development says.

When that is done, crews move to LA 3032 (Shreveport-Barksdale Highway) at Weyman Street, where inside lanes will close for up to three days.

The work finishes the second phase of DOTD's flashing yellow arrow signal upgrades in Caddo Parish. DOTD says the third phase, in Bossier, Claiborne, DeSoto, Red River and Webster parishes, is complete except for punch list items.
